Day of Surgery

  • website pics 002.jpgYou must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will drive you home following your surgery.  We recommend they stay at the Center or at least be available within 15 minutes notice. 
    AT LEAST ONE PARENT OF A MINOR CHILD MUST REMAIN AT THE CENTER AT ALL TIMES.

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.

  • Leave valuables at home, including billfold and jewelry such as wedding bands, as we cannot be responsible for their safe-keeping.

  • Remove makeup, fingernail polish and contact lenses.  No metal clips in hair.

  • Bring your insurance card(s), photo identification and and any applicable insurance co-payment. 

  • If you are taking prescription medications, please bring a list with the names and dosages of these medications.

  • You may only take your high blood pressure medication with a sip of water. For all other medications, please check with your doctor and/or the Center's pre-op nurses.

  • When you arrive for surgery, you will meet your nurse, doctor and anesthesiologist. At that time, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about anesthesia and your recovery period.
